Kitchen planner — design a kitchen that works

A good kitchen is all about workflow: fridge, stove and sink within easy reach of each other, counters where you need them, and an island only if the room can take it. The RoomCraft kitchen planner lets you lay out counters, islands and appliances at true scale so you can validate the work triangle before committing to cabinets.

Frequently asked questions

What is the kitchen work triangle?

The work triangle connects your fridge, stove and sink. Keep each leg between 1.2 m and 2.7 m, with a total under 6.6 m, so cooking flows without excess walking.

How much space does a kitchen island need?

An island needs 90–105 cm of clearance on all working sides, plus 120 cm if it faces an opening appliance. Test your clearance in the planner before committing.

How wide should a walkway in a kitchen be?

Single-cook kitchens need at least 90 cm walkways; two-cook kitchens or galley layouts with opposing counters need 120 cm so two people can pass.
